Focus on Fish – 28th July

This course is ideal for those looking to benefit from expert local knowledge of the South Devon coastline while enjoying the advantages of boat-based spearfishing—without the expense or responsibility of owning a boat.

Over the course of the day, we will explore a range of reef systems, targeting a variety of species including Bass, Bream, Pollack, Mullet, and flatfish. The emphasis is on species-specific hunting techniques and maximising the opportunities provided by accessing multiple, carefully chosen marks along the coastline.

Target species will vary depending on the prevailing conditions and seasonal behaviour patterns, with site selection and hunting strategies adapted accordingly to give you the best chance of success. Where possible, we will tailor the day to focus on the species you are most interested in encountering or targeting.

Equipment

If you haven’t already purchased your own spearfishing equipment, we can provide you with all the kit, except neoprene socks and gloves, for just £30. Unfortunately surf/standard style wetsuits are not sufficient and will result in you getting too cold and likely also damaging the neoprene of your wetsuit. If you need to rent our equipment, which includes a spearfishing wetsuit, simply add this option to your basket at checkout for only £30 extra.
